The defence ministry's Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is constructing a shore-based test facility, using technology and specialised equipment from Russia, for the Bangalore-based Aeronautical Development Agency.
A statement issued Wednesday said the public sector undertaking earned Rs.68.53 crore gross profit and recorded production to the tune of Rs.506.62 crore in the last financial year.
"GSL is executing orders for supply of glass-reinforced plastic patrol boats and constructing a shore-based test facility, with Russian technology and specialised equipment, at INS Hansa, Goa, for Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore," it said.
Apart from manufacturing two 105-metre-range offshore patrol vessel (OPV) for the Indian Coast Guard, the shipyard also delivered the second-in-series Naval OPV to the Indian Navy.
