Private carrier GoAir on Thursday said it will become the first airline to offer direct daily non-stop flights connecting the country's commercial capital Mumbai with Leh in Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh from April 13.
The new flight with convenient schedules will attract both holiday and business travelers in the upcoming summer vacation rush to hill stations, said GoAir CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.
The first direct flight will take off from Mumbai Airport at 4 a.m. and arrive Leh at 6.40 a.m., while the return service will be operated via Srinagar, taking off from Leh at 7.10 am, halt at Srinagar and then reach Mumbai arriving at 11.25 am.
Besides, for the vacation rush, GoAir will offer additional services on the Mumbai-Patna-Mumbai and Mumbai-Lucknow-Mumbai sectors and bookings for all the flights have already opened.
