Inter has confirmed that Fredy Guarin re-signed his contract that will keep him in the club until 2017.
The Colombia international has agreed a new deal and will stay for at least another three years, Xinhua cited from a statement published on Inter's official web site Monday.
"FC Internazionale is pleased to announce that Fredy Guarin has renewed his contract with Inter, extending the current deal until 30 June 2017," the statement read.
It's a 180-degree turn for the midfielder, who was expected to be involved in a swap deal with Mirko Vucinic of Juventus in January.
However, after fans essentially blocked the move, Guarin was forced to stay put.
Since the winter, the 27-year-old has re-evaluated his career with Walter Mazzarri's men, and is said to be delighted to sign an extension.
