Australia set a target of 305 for India to chase in the first of the seven One-Day Internationals (ODI) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here Sunday.
Opting to bat first, the visitors notched up 304/8 in 50 overs with skipper George Bailey top scoring with 85. Opener Aaron Finch also played a brilliant knock of 72 to give Australia a good start.
Among the Indian bowlers only Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh managed two scalps each. Spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the most economical bowler, giving away only 35 runs in his 10 overs and also taking a wicket.
