An Indian national, attacked by suspected robbers in Nigeria's capital city of Lagos earlier this month, has succumbed to his injuries in hospital, a media report said Monday.
Srivastava Kumar, 45, was attacked while working on an agricultural farm in Eleko, Ajah, on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Punch news reported.
Kumar was stabbed in the hand and the chest during the robbery Feb 11.
He reportedly died in hospital Feb 14.
Kumar was also the plant manager of a foods processing company.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said the matter had been transferred to the state's Special Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigation.
