All 28 legislators of the opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) were Friday suspended from the Haryana assembly on the very first day of the monsoon session for creating a ruckus inside the house. The legislators were alleging corruption in land deals under the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government.
Speaker Kuldeep Sharma said the legislators will remain suspended till the end of the session.
The INLD legislators, led by party secretary general Abhay Singh Chautala, showed a CD in which chief parliamentary secretary, Ram Kishen Fauji, was shown allegedly striking a land deal.
The legislators said the ruling party leader had demanded Rs.5 crore for getting a change of land use licence for a land deal.
Later, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Anil Vij was also suspended from the assembly for the rest of the session after he raked up the same issue.
Two other legislators walked out of the house to lodge their protest.
Earlier, Chautala alleged that the Hooda government was openly indulging in loot in the name of land deals in Haryana.
He sought a probe into the controversial land deals, including those of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
