Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Monday sought Singapore's help in reconstruction of the newly-created state.
KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, made the appeal when Singapore's senior minister and former prime minister Goh Chok Tong called on him here. The chief minister and Singaporean leader, who was leading a delegation, discussed various issues relating to development and investment.
According to a statement from the chief minister's office, he told Tong that during his visit to Singapore last month he was impressed with the rapid development the country has achieved and termed his visit inspiring.
KCR said Telangana has an investment and industry-friendly government and it is evolving policies in various sectors. They agreed to meet again to discuss and finalise the joint programmes Telangana and Singapore will undertake.
