Aries Vismayas Max, a film complex, has been equipped with the first Dolby Atmos mixing studio of the state to meet the production needs of the Malayalam film industry.
"Vismayas looks to deliver filmmakers in Kerala the most state-of-the-art solutions, and Dolby Atmos is something truly ground-breaking," B. Unnikrishnan, filmmaker and managing director, Aries Vismayas Max, said in a statement.
"Dolby Atmos creates a completely realistic sonic atmosphere that puts you into the experience by moving audio around and above the audience. We recently mixed Malayalam movie 'Cousins', in cinemas now," he added.
Filmmakers use Dolby Atmos to place and move sounds anywhere in the movie theatre to make film audiences feel as if they are inside the movie and not merely watching it.
Some of the films released using the technology include "Dhoom:3", "PK", "Kayal" and "Meaghamann".
