Rome, Jan 26 (IANS/AKI) US Secretary of State John Kerry will attend a meeting next month here of members of the international coalition against the Islamic State jihadist group.
Italy's Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni will chair the meeting in Rome on February 2 and the US special envoy to the 23-member coalition, Brett McGurk, will also attend.
The US has asked coalition members to boost their military contributions in Iraq and Syria against IS after the deadly attacks in Paris in November that killed 130 people.
Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, the United Emirates, France, Germany, Jordan, Iraq, Italy, Kuwait, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Qatar, Britain, Spain, Sweden and Turkey belong to the anti-IS coalition.
