Emiliano Insua moved from Spanish football club Atletico de Madrid to Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart, the German team announced on Saturday.
Stuttgart strengthened their defence with the signing of the 26-year-old, who inked a three-year contract that will keep him with the 'Swabians' until June 2018. Insua received jersey No.2 at his new club, reports Xinhua.
"The signing of Emiliano Insua is another important step of our squad planning. We are delighted that he will wear our jersey. We wish him a good start at the VfB," Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt said.
The new arrival has already played for a number of European clubs. He has played 187 official games and also made appearances in the Champions League and Europa League where he scored eight goals.
Insua earned his first call up for the Argentina national team, also known as 'la Albiceleste', in 2009 to make four caps ever since. His new club encounter Cologne at the first round of Bundesliga on August 15.
