Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and veteran actor Ranjit will do cameos in Gulshan Grover's comic web movie "Badman".

Apart from celebrities like Rishi Kapoor, Farah Khan, Shoojit Sircar, Sujoy Ghosh and Manisha Koirala, Bhatt and Ranjit will also be seen in "Badman".

With hilarious delusional situations of the 'young hero' Gulshan, the movie explores the dark yet funny side of Bollywood.

While Chunky Pandey will be seen as the villain, Bhatt will play himself -- a close friend of Gulshan who advises him on his upcoming film.

Ranjit as always will ace the villain role who talks Gulshan into not playing a positive role.

Gulshan said in a statement: "I am thankful to my colleagues and friends for having played themselves in my debut film 'Badman'. Although I have done over 450 films, 'Badman' as a hero is my debut film.

"My special thanks to Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Ranjeet Saab, Mahesh Bhatt, Sujoy Ghosh, Vishal Dadlani, Shoojit Sircar and others for having played themselves in my film."

Asked about his colleagues' reaction when he approached them, he said: "I mentioned to my colleagues about my film 'Badman' and my desire for them to act in it. Within seconds, they all agreed. There are many colleagues who are upset with me for not getting them to act in my film."

"Badman", directed by Soumik Sen, will be available on Viacom18's new app - VOOT soon.
