A man attacked with a sickle a young woman, who was studying engineering here, injuring her and then committed suicide by consuming poison.
The incident took place Monday at Aurora's Engineering College in Chandrayangutta in southwest Hyderabad.
Pradeep attacked the girl at the college entrance and then consumed poison. Both were rushed to a hospital, where the assailant died while the victim is battling for life.
The girl student had joined the college a few days ago. Her family members alleged that Pradeep had been stalking her for two years. He was her classmate earlier in another college.
Police have booked a case and are investigating.
