Turkish rescuers found the wreckage early Monday of a military helicopter that went missing Sunday and recovered the remains of all four crew members, media reported.
The wreckage of the Sikorsky S-70B was discovered at a village in the northwestern province of Kocaeli, Xinhua reported citing the private Dogan news agency.
The helicopter went missing soon after taking off from Izmit military airport. It was heading to Konya airbase.
The last major accident involving a military aircraft happened in early September, when a F-16D fighter jet crashed on landing at an airbase in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir. The two pilots on board ejected unharmed.
