Man booked for threatening wife after 'second marriage'

A man and his "second wife" have been booked for domestic violence and threatening his wife of dire consequences, police said on Friday.

Mamta, 28, resident of Sohna town, registered a case at Sohna police station against her husband Yogesh, 31 and Usha, 18 for allegedly threatened to kill her and her eight-year-old son.

In her complaint, Mamta said that Yogesh and Usha were in relationship for few years and they allegedly got "married" in a temple on October 10 when Usha turned 18.

"We got married on Feb 16, 2008 and have an eight year old son. Yogesh and Usha often physically harass me and my son and threaten to kill us or to leave the house," she said in her complaint, adding that neither has Yogesh divorced her nor filed a divorce plea in court.

A police officer said that an FIR has been have registered and the case is being investigated.

No arrests have been made so far.
