Brazil's Arena da Amazonia World Cup stadium is set to host its first match March 9.

The fixture will feature local outfit Nacional against Remo in the quarterfinal of regional tournament the Copa Verde, Xinhua cited from Brazil football news web site Sambafoot.

About 20,000 tickets will be made available for the match, out of which 7,000 will be allocated to stadium construction workers and their families.

The stadium is one of four venues yet to be ready for football's signature tournament, to be held from June 12 to July 13.

Located in the jungle city of Manaus, Arena da Amazonia is scheduled to host four World Cup group matches.
