French actress Marion Cotillard will essay the role of Lady Macbeth in the upcoming movie "Macbeth".

Cotillard will star opposite actor Michael Fassbender, who will play the iconic antihero in the adaptation of the Shakespearean tragedy, reports deadline.com.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, the movie will be produced by Iain Canning and Emile Sherman. The shooting will kick off in Britain in January 2014.
