Italian giants AC Milan are considering a move for teenage Brazilian defender Doria in the January transfer window, according to media reports.
The 19-year-old has been given a glowing reference by his Botafogo teammate and former Rossoneri midfielder Clarence Seedorf, Terra reported Monday.
The Rio de Janeiro club has placed a nine million-Euro price tag on the Brazil under-20 captain, who has also been linked to Barcelona and Juventus, reported Xinhua.
The move could depend on Botafogo's quest to qualify for next year's Copa Liberatdores.
They are currently fifth in the Campeonato Brasileiro, needing to win Sunday's final match of the season against Criciuma and rely on other results to qualify for South America's premier club competition.
"If Botafogo fail, Seedorf could bring forward his career as a coach and take Doria with him," the report said.
