Defending champions Mumbai Indians posted a total of 173/8 against Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Eliminator being held at the Brabourne Stadium here Wednesday.
After being sent in to bat, Mumbai Indians put up a challenging total with the help of opener Lendl Simmons who top scored with 67. Super Kings bowler Mohit Sharma clinched three wickets.
The winner of the match will proceed to Qualifier 2 where they will take on the loser of Qualifier 1 -- Kings XI Punjab. Kolkata Knight Riders entered the final earlier in the day.
