Myanmarese opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) that is led Aung San Suu Kyi by Saturday met for the fourth time to map out action programmes for next year's general elections.
Suu Kyi stressed that the party would carry out the action programmes to win the upcoming general election which can guarantee genuine democracy demanded by the people, Xinhua reported.
The NLD firmly believed that only national reconciliation and dialogues can bring national unity, peace and development, Suu Kyi said.
The party was established in September 1988 and now has 1.2 million members.
In the 2012 by-elections, the party won 43 out of the 45 open parliamentary seats, 37 in the House of Representatives (Lower House), four in the House of Nationalities (Upper House) and two in the region or state parliament.
