Actor Nandoo, who has played character roles with negative shades in films such as "Rabhasa" and "Autonagar Surya", has landed a full-length role of a villain in a yet-untitled Telugu-Hindi bilingual.
"I've always wished to be part of good cinema, doing substantial roles and never quite worried about playing a hero or villain. I'm kicked about my role in this film. Rajeev Khandelwal plays my part in the Hindi version," Nandoo told IANS.
Quoting examples of actors like Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akthar, he said: "They're not running behind hero-centric scripts. All they want is good, strong roles. Bollywood is evolving; it's not about heroes anymore but only about great stories".
To be directed by debutant Navneeth, the bilingual is set to go on floors on June 24 in Mauritius.
"Most of the shoot will happen there. The rest of the cast is being finalised," he said.
Kannada producer Anji Nagaraju will be bankrolling this project.
