San Antonio Spurs point-guard Tony Parker has been sidelined due to a back sprain and will miss the NBA team's upcoming away fixtures.
The 31-year-old Frenchman underwent an MRI Monday that revealed he has a sprained facet joint on the left side of his back. The team gave no timeline for his return, reports Xinhua.
The three-time NBA champion has been named in six league all-star teams and was the 2007 NBA finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
The Spurs take on Minnesota Tuesday night and then play in Dallas Thursday.
