A delegation of senior journalists from Nepal on Tuesday met officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) here and discussed the role and relevance of a public broadcaster within the media terrain.
I&B Secretary Ajay Mittal gave the delegation an overview of the key policies and initiatives of the ministry and highlighted the recent initiatives taken with regard to the film sector and third phase of the FM radio stations, the ministry said in a statement.
Mittal also apprised the delegation about the role and relevance of government communication channels in the light of the vast diversity existing within the media landscape.
Members of the delegation were also briefed on sector-wise initiatives, and the growth potential of the media and entertainment sector in India.
