Nine killed in J&K as vehicle falls into gorge

Nine persons were killed and six injured on Wednesday when a vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control over the vehicle carrying passengers from Rajouri to Reasi district at Jamsalaan around 8.45 a.m., the police said.

The vehicle dropped into a deep gorge, killing seven persons and injuring eight others. The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

"Two of the critically injured later succumbed to their injuries," the police added.
