Autopsy report revealed Tuesday that a one-and-half-year-old girl was raped before being strangled to death in Pakistan's Karachi, media reported.

The body was recovered in Nazimabad, however, it is not yet clear where the rape and murder took place, Dawn online reported.

Additional Police Surgeon Rubina Hasan, who conducted the minor's autopsy, said she was subjected to sodomy.

Liaquatabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Noorani said the family members of the victim claimed the minor girl's body was found in a street outside her home.

Further investigation into the matter is under way. Police were hunting to nab the perpetrator.
