Over two dozen delegations called on the Centre's special representative to start a sustained dialogue process in J&K, Dineshwar Sharma, here on Friday.
Prominent among those who interacted with Sharma were delegations from the Jammu Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Jammu Bar Association, representatives of West Pakistan refugees and others.
Talking to media after meeting Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, president of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "It has been the practice of the central government to try and appease the separatists and overlook the genuine demands of those upholding the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
"It is because of this appeasement policy that the nationalist forces get discouraged."
Sharma, who met Governor N.N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday, On Friday concluded his present five-day visit to the state.
He said he would return soon to continue his mission to hold a sustained dialogue process that includes different viewpoints in the state.
