Michael Phelps' coach Bob Bowman said that Phelps is back in training and plans to return to competition after his six-month ban ends in March.

Bowman said Saturday they have not decided what event Phelps would be entering when the 18-time Olympic gold medallist is eligible, Xinhua reported citing AP.

Phelps was suspended by USA Swimming Oct 6 due to his second drunk-driving arrest.

The 29-year-old was also banned from competing at the 2015 world championships in Russia, but is moving forward with plans to take part in the 2016 Olympics.
