Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi discussed the current economic situation in the country with select corporate leaders, party sources said Saturday.
The meeting took place at the residence of the Congress vice president in the national capital, the sources said, adding, that RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group chairman Sanjiv Goenka, Axis Bank CEO Shikha Sharma, Bengal Ambuja Housing Development Ltd managing director Harshavardhan Neotia and former Hindustan Unilever CEO Nitin Paranjpe.
Gandhi had favoured the government's move to bring in foreign equity in multi-brand retail to boost the economy.
