In a frustrating day for cricket lovers, the second day of the second Test between India and South Africa was called off without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Sunday.

India, at 80 for no loss, were trailing South Africa by 134 runs at the end of Day 1's play with openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan batting on 28 and 45 respectively.

Earlier, India bowled South Africa out for 214 runs in the first innings.

The third day's play will begin 15 minutes earlier at 9.15 a.m.
