Independiente Santa Fe progressed to the Copa Libertadores semifinals with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Real Garcilaso in their second leg quarterfinal.
The Colombian outfit, which won last week's first leg 3-1 away, will now meet the winner of Olimpia's clash with Fluminense. The sides played out a 0-0 draw last week with Wednesday's return fixture to be played at Olimpia's Estadio Manuel Ferreira in Asuncion, reports Xinhua.
Jefferson Cuero opened the scoring in the seventh minute Tuesday at El Campin with a thumping long-range effort that rebounded in off the bar. John Valencia doubled the home side's lead just after the hour.
Garcilaso were then reduced to 10-men when defender Ivan Santillan was shown a straight red card for a crude challenge on Cuero with 15 minutes left.
