The CBI on Monday arrested media baron Ramesh Gandhi in connection with the multi-crore rupee Saradha scam here, an official said.
The chairman and managing director of Rainbow Productions - known for its hugely popular news programme "Khaash Khabor" - was nabbed for his association with Saradha chief and scam kingpin Sudipta Sen.
"Gandhi has been arrested for his involvement in the Saradha Scam Case. He was allegedly associated with Saradha Group boss Sudipta Sen. Huge funds were allegedly transferred in his own and his company bank accounts," said a CBI official.
