A security official was killed and five people were injured in a shootout with terrorists in Saudi Arabia's Al-Awamiyah town, a media report said on Monday.
According to the Saudi interior ministry, the incident occurred on Sunday when security forces were raiding sites which were being used as terrorists hideouts in Al-Awamiyah, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The raid resulted in heavy exchange of gunfire. Four Saudis were arrested and automatic weapons, pistols, ammunition and communication devices were seized from the hideouts.
The victim, Corporal Majed bin Turki Al-Qahtani, succumbed to his injuries. The injured included three security personnel.
