Seven killed in Zambia bus accident

Seven people died and seven others sustained serious injuries after a bus in which they were travelling overturned in Zambia's Kapiri district, police said.

According to Zambia Police assistant public relations officer Esther Katongo, the accident occurred on Monday when the driver of the bus lost control due to lack of concentration, Xinhua news agency reported.

The police official also said that seven passengers sustained serious injuries while 51 suffered minor injuries.

The driver has since been arrested and charged with six counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
