Small screen actress Shritama Mukherjee has been approached to play the grown-up Pihu when popular TV show "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" takes its third leap soon.

After the show's story went ahead by nine years last month, "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" is to take another leap of seven years. The character of Pihu, currently played by actress Aanchal Munjal, will now be seen as a grown-up girl, and Shritama is likely to step into the role then.

Rumours were rife that actress Priyal Gor, who was last seen in "Dekha Ek Khwaab", would play the new Pihu, but if sources are to be believed, Priyal has declined the role.

The new Pihu is said to be a rich brat and her dad's princess, which is very much alike to Shritama's role in her past show "Dekha Ek Khwaab". Her previous show saw her in the role of Rajkumari Jainandini.

"Dekha Ek Khwaab" marked Shritama's TV debut. She later featured as Vinnie in TV show "Best Friends Forever?".

The new leap in "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" will go on air Sep 12 on Sony Entertainment Television. The show started as a coming together of a 40-plus man and a 30-plus woman, and their ensuing love story.

Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar play key characters in the show. Sakshi, who essays Priya Kapoor in the show, will be shown in a state of coma when the show takes its new leap.
