A 37-year-old singer, who was tipped to star on London's West End Theatre Summer School stage, was killed after a Range Rover Sport mowed her down, a media report said.
Joanna Reyes was standing in the middle of a busy road when the vehicle struck her late on Thursday night, Dailymail reported on Friday.
She had been drafted in to play the leading role in the comedy musical Urinetown and had just finished rehearsing when she was hit.
Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene. A 44-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
