Veteran Telugu film actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Murali Mohan was Thursday arrested for alleged violation of election model code of conduct.

Police arrested him at Eluru in West Godavari district for organizing a bike rally without prior permission from the authorities.

Murali Mohan and TDP candidate for Zilla Parishad election Lakshmiramani were booked for organizing the rally on March 29 in Dwarkatirumala.

Likely to be TDP candidate for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat, Murali Mohan had contested from the same constituency in 2009 but lost.
