Eli Roth's "The Green Inferno" is sure to have a heavy dose of cannibalism, its first trailer suggests.
It highlights a girl discussing her plan to save a tribe in a rainforest with her father. This turns out to be a deadly plan for her and all students attached to the mission, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The trailer opens with a warning tagline, "Father knows best," and continues with a scene in which a group of idealistic college students travel to Amazon to save a dying tribe.
However, things just don't go through the way they plan as their plane crashes in a jungle. They arrive in a vast green landscape and come across scary native inhabitants who take them hostage.
The horror unfolds as the tribe still practices cannibalism and has a healthy appetite for intruders.
Roth also co-wrote the script with Guillermo Amoedo and produces the movie alongside Christopher Woodrow, Molly Conners, Miguel Asensio Llamas and Nicolas Lopez.
"The Green Inferno" stars Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Sky Ferreira and Daryl.
It is slated for a release in the US on September 25.
