In a tit for tat move, after some Congress leaders joined the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir some months ago, the former Monday announced names of some NC leaders who have joined it.
A list issued by the Congress here mentions the names of NC leaders like Gulam Hassan Geelani, Shafeeq Mir, Farooq A. Renzu and Mohammad Aslam Goni, among others, who have joined the party.
Though the Congress and the NC run a coalition government in the troubled border state, the local Congress unit has had some issues with its coalition partner, party sources said.
The Congress also announced the setting up of an election panel and a disciplinary panel for Jammu and Kashmir.
While Gurmukh Singh will be the chairman of the disciplinary committee, state unit chief Saifuddin Soz will head the poll panel.
