Two people, one of them a student of Class IX, committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling fan in two separate cases in Shalimar Bagh of north Delhi, police said Wednesday. No suicide note was found in either case.
The body of Puja, 14, was found by her mother inside her home in Shalimar Bagh around 7 p.m. The family said she had been in depression for some time.
In another case in the same neighbourhood, 22-year-old Lokesh, a labourer, committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home. Police said he too was depressed over his poverty.
Police said both the incidents occurred within an hour of each other.
