The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two Kashmiri youths for "disrespecting" the national anthem.
The two youths belonging to Anantnag and Kupwara districts of the Kashmir Valley were arrested on Thursday for not standing up when the national anthem was being played in a cinema, the police said.
"FIR has been lodged against the boys in Narwal police post under Section 2/3 of prevention of insults to National Honour Act, 1971", the police said.
The apex court had directed in November last year that the national anthem be played in cinema halls across the country before the screening of a movie and all present must stand up to show respect.
