UP announces crushing schedule for sugar mills
Facing flak on delayed crushing of sugarcane, the Uttar Pradesh government Tuesday announced the schedule for sugarcane crushing for state-owned sugar mills.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the cane department announced the crushing season for the mills in weatern Uttar Pradesh will start Friday.
The crushing season for the rest of the state would begin Nov 30, officials told IANS.
