Former Facebook India Managing Director Umang Bedi who recently took over as President at the local language news and entertainment aggregator Dailyhunt has been named as company advisor to the US-based video-personalisation platform AdGreetz.
Bedi will help expedite the growth of AdGreetz' business in India and in other Asian countries.
"Following AdGreetz' recent successes with BMW and Flipkart in India, we were introduced to Umang, who immediately embraced our company's unique and infinite capabilities for revolutionising brand marketing, acquiring new customers and building stronger relationships," Eric Frankel, CEO and Founder of AdGreetz, said in a statement.
"Throughout my career at Facebook, Adobe and Intuit, I've seen a wide variety of entrepreneurs and technologies that promised to change the landscape of a respective industry, but fell short of their aspirations," said Bedi.
Dailyhunt has 80 million users that spend over six billion minutes on the platform each month.
The platform offers over 250,000 news articles in 14 languages licensed from thousands of content partners and contributors every day.
Facebook appointed Bedi in 2016 as Managing Director for India to build and maintain strategic relationships with top clients and regional agencies in the country.
Prior to joining Facebook, Bedi was Managing Director of South Asia region at Adobe.
