The headless naked body of a woman - believed to be in her 30s - was found inside an airbag here in the city, police said Thursday.
The body was found around 11 p.m. Wednesday from a bus-stop in Janakpuri area of west Delhi. The bag was found by a passer-by who informed police.
"Tied with a rope, the headless body of an unidentified woman was stuffed in a sack after wrapping it with plastic. It was later packed in an air bag," said a police officer.
There were no marks on the victim's body, and it seems the woman was murdered somewhere else and the body dumped at the bus stop, he said.
The officer ruled out the possibility of rape. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. He added that the head was slashed with a sharp weapon.
