Former One Direction member Zayn Malik is designing a necklace for his model and girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
Malik has made enquiries with Beverley Hills-based jewellers Robert Procop -- who have created bespoke pieces for the likes of actress Angelina Jolie -- because he wants to design a unique trinket to present as a gift to his 20-year-old girlfriend, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"They are besotted with each other and Zayn wants Gigi to have something he's designed," a source said.
Despite Robert Procop specialising in diamond pieces, Malik, 22, isn't ready to purchase a sparkling ring for Hadid, and settled on a necklace which he plans to replicate for himself.
"They're not ready for rings and he is always wanting to do it differently so Zayn decided on a necklace. The idea is he will get a matching piece for himself," the source added.
