Arvind who?

Who is India's chief economic advisor (CEA)? Most people who follow news about the Indian economy know it is Arvind Subramanian, fellow of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. But one of the magazines that track key appointments in the government mixed up names and economists and named Arvind Panagariya, professor of economics at Columbia University. The mix-up may have been understandable considering that Panagariya was one of the many names doing the rounds for the long-unfilled CEA's post. But in the competitive world of academe, some may consider the error a faux pas.
