While inaugurating the electronic toll collection (ETC) facility on the Delhi-Mumbai Highway, Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari showered praised on Nandan Nilekani who was heading the committee set up to formulate the structure and method of the ETC. Almost inevitably, perhaps, Gadkari neglected to reserve credit for the former United Progressive Alliance's roads minister C P Joshi, under whose tenure the ETC concept took shape, trials conducted and the Nilekani committee set up.
