Former prime minister Manmohan Singh has agreed to launch the book of former Cabinet colleague Ashwani Kumar on April 10. Kumar’s book titled Hope in a Challenged Democracy: An Indian Narrative comes at a time when the grand old party is faced with an aggressive Bharatiya Janata Party. Vice-president M Hamid Ansari is expected to grace the occasion while senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and journalist Mrinal Pande will discuss the book. Kumar was law minister in Singh’s second tenure as PM.
