West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee appears to have extended her extra-curricular talents beyond painting and poetry to exploration. Or so she claims on her Facebook page after a recent visit to the Gangasagar Islands, a famous place of pilgrimage in the Ganga delta about 100 km south of Kolkata. "A new sea beach has been explored," her Facebook entry reads. In fact, the chief minister explored not one but three beaches and named them on the spot - Bhor (morning), Dheu (waves) and Roop (beauty). And if the chief minister is to be believed, Roop "has potential to be developed as a beach better than Goa".
