DGCA, high on health

After stepping up surveillance in the skies to make aircraft fighting fit for enhanced passenger safety, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under its current chief has turned its attention to improving the health of employees. A gymnasium is currently under development on the DGCA premises. Interestingly, the DG (who also holds an MBBS degree) is known to have been health conscious and used to encourage colleagues to work out in the gym during his tenure as a joint-secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
