Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of Parliament Shahnawaz Hussain hosted an Eid party on Thursday. Almost all senior BJP leaders, including L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, and senior Cabinet ministers Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh, were present at the party.
Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar was one of the few ministers to head to the non-vegetarian counter to sample some of the kebabs, biryani and korma. Most other ministers either moved towards the vegetarian section or restricted themselves to desserts like sewayian.
Hussain's party also saw some of his neighbours such as Congress MP Deepender Hooda turn up to wish him. Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid also hosted an Eid party.
