It has been reported in the media that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) is investigating at least 20 builders as well as the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India for alleged collusion in arm-twisting buyers. Its director general is said to have submitted his report but CCI's senior officials - who have seen the report - are said to be unhappy with the quality of the investigation. The builders' lawyers can be seen chortling about the quality - or the lack of it - of the investigation. When asked about the progress of the case, a lawyer responded cheekily: "Acche din chal rahe hai".
